Detachment of underwater hull coatings

This project involved a vessel that had extensive detachment of the underwater hull coatings which the management company instructed Safinah to review the in dock vessel condition, coating supplier reports and paint flake analysis to determine the root cause of the coating detachment.

Hull fouling after a prolonged static period

Safinah was instructed by a large global law firm on behalf of the owner of a vessel that was left static for a number of months in high fouling challenge waters by the charterers. The project entailed instruction to review the coating scheme and the condition of the underwater hull coating prior to the static period to confirm the coatings were in a good condition prior to the static period.
