Safinah was invited to present to Gard / NHC (Norwegian Hull Club) Surveyors Day in Bergen.

This is a biannual event to which Gard and NHC, two marine insurance giants, jointly invite their global surveyors to update them on relevant elements of the marine insurance business particularly with respect to their roles as global marine surveyors.
Raouf Kattan, Alan Walker and Paul Westcott represented Safinah and Alan Walker presented the following:
- Introduction to Safinah
- Typical coating failures and causes
- Key areas and their common problems
- Factors that Gard/NHC could influence to incrementally reduce claims
- Relevant case studies
- Safinah’s approach to surveys and investigations
The feedback from Gard/NHC and the Surveyors was that the presentation was very relevant to their businesses and gave them good ideas of how to manage coating inspections and to contact Safinah when expert independent coating support is needed.
