Windfarm fabricators, owners and asset managers are beginning to appreciate that paying particular attention to coatings specifications for towers and blades can prevent failures in use and therefore avert costly repairs.
Both land based and offshore towers need to have appropriate specification requirements to contend with high winds, rain and temperature extremes.
As the number of wind farms grow, coatings manufacturers and researchers are leaving few stones unturned to solve the intractable problem of protecting installations in these harsh environments.
